Ticket Reservations for The Siyum Open to the Public

August 19, 2019

It’s not every day we have the chance to be a part of history. The Siyum, to be held, be”H on January 1, 2020, is just 139 dafim away. It will undoubtedly be the most monumental event in recent Jewish history. The Siyum will be held once again at MetLife Stadium and begin at 1:00 PM.

Since the 1940s each Siyum eclipsed the previous one in size. The impact of each Siyum has had an even more significant effect with each cycle of Daf Yomi. After Rav Meir Shapiro launched Daf Yomi at the first Knessiah Gedolah of Agudas Yisroel, Daf Yomi’s first Siyum was held at Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin, Rav Meir Shapiro’s own yeshiva. That first Siyum launched not only a celebration and continuous escalation of Torah learning, but a movement of Ki Heim Chayeinu V’Orech Yameinu – Demonstrating Torah’s primacy in our lives.

Once again, The Siyum will not only be the global celebration of those who were moser nefesh day in and day out for seven and a half years, never missing the daf, but a future-focussed time of inspiration to reconnect to Torah, and strengthen that bond for the next seven and a half years.

“As a result of the natural growth of Klal Yisroel, as well as the tens of thousands of additional lomdei haDaf, the more than 30,000 children learning under Masmidei HaSiyum and their families, as well as the thousands of participants in Chavrei HaSiyum, the upcoming Siyum HaShas is generating never before seen excitement,” said Rabbi Labish Becker, Executive Director of Agudas Yisroel.

The Agudah has sent delegations all over the world and is working closely with these kehillos, including Canada, Panama, Mexico, Argentina, Paris, Israel, Russia, South Africa, Australia, making this a true global celebration of Torah.

“We are pleased to announce that seating reservations have opened today for the general public,” Rabbi Becker continued, “while group codes for Lomdei HaDaf are still active, the overwhelming demand from the entire klal to join in this simchah is inspiring and we look forward to a sold out event.”

The Agudah also announced that there will be many enhancements to the program which are sure to make the upcoming Siyum even more inspirational and memorable.

“When we started planning for The Siyum, almost two years ago, The Novominsker Rebbe, Rosh Agudas Yisroel, charged us with a mission. The Siyum was to be a celebration of Torah like none other, celebrating Ki Heim Chayeinu VeOrech Yameinu – that Torah is our life. We have worked on building global Torah initiatives that have impacted hundreds of thousands of Rabbanim, bnei Torah, ba’alei batim, women, and children around the world. It is such a zechus to be able to invite the entire Klal Yisroel to join us at this historic gathering of Kavod HaTorah and Kiddush Sheim Shamayim where we will sing and dance together celebrating that which unifies of all – Torah,” said Rabbi Shmuel Bloom, Executive Vice President Emeritus of Agudas Yisroel and an active member of The Siyum Committee.
